Hello, allow me to debunk your theory.
The first, most obvious reason as to why this reference doesn’t stick is because of the incorrectly cited lyrics. The writer cites these lyrics as “Ball so hard motherfuckers wanna find me,” when the correct lyrics read as “Ball so hard motherfuckers wanna fine me.” This line contains a generally respected double entendre concerning Jay-Z’s visit to the Kentucky Wildcats locker room during March Madness (which resulted in a 50k fine due to his minority ownership of the New Jersey Nets), as well as the basic interpretation of his “balling hard” resulting in some sort of violation that results in a fine (think unnecessary roughness in football or flagrant fouls in basketball).
The second reason as to why this is an incorrect interpretation can be found in Kanye’s verse. He states, “That shit cray, aint it Jay? What she order, fish filet?” This line begins with a reference to “cray,” followed by a reference to fish filet. Obviously, “cray” in this line alludes to crayfish, which is followed by an additional mention of seafood, informing both the first and second references.
This theory would hold a little bit more water if the Kray twins were from Paris, which would develop a lyrical kinship with the title of the song, as well as the actions that the Kray twins committed. As it were, the interpretation of “cray” as “Kray” would result in an extremely sloppy, obscure reference. Neither of which has ever been the hallmark of a verse that Jay-Z or Kanye West has crafted.
